I suffered from weight related anxiety and depression for 2 years and know exactly how it feels to suffer from this horrible illness. What helped me beat this was learning more about correct exercise and nutrition, applying it, which in turn helped me, beat my weight problems and the anxiety / depression that went with it. The great thing about EXERCISE is that it has been scientifically proven to make you feel better mentally. So even in my lowest days I would force myself out of the house to get some fresh air and always benefit from it. Due to my experience with this illness I find myself fully equipped to deal with people with depression, be it weight related, post natal, inherent bi-polar or stress related. Please do not feel embarrassed about this REAL problem which a lot of others fail to recognize can be so RESTRICTING and EXHAUSTING. I know everything that you are experiencing is very real. Over the years I have helped people beat this using a combination of controlled exercise, empathy and motivation. I’m currently working with some extreme cases which cannot be disclosed on the internet, but exercise is playing a huge part in these people's rehabilitation.
